Business Ombudsman Boris Titov urged the authorities to issue QR codes not only to those who have completed the full course of vaccination against coronavirus, but also to those who have received only the first component of the vaccine. In his opinion, the current mode of receiving QR codes scares away those who are afraid of introducing new restrictions during the long vaccination process, as well as those who hope that they will be lifted during this period.
“QR codes should be issued after the first dose of the vaccine! .. An immediate effect is important for a person now, and not three weeks later, when something else is banned (or, on the contrary, as many hope, everything will be allowed again),” wrote Mr. Titov on Facebook. — This simple measure will save the restaurant and hospitality business. Allows you to avoid multi-day downtime and reduced customer flow. It will give people the opportunity to go on a long-awaited vacation, spend time with children, and improve their health after a very difficult year. “
According to the business ombudsman, most physicians and biologists now believe that vaccination with one component of the drug is sufficient to develop herd immunity. “The second dose only reinforces the result,” he wrote.
“To defeat the virus and save lives, we must not“ press ”people and frighten business, not split society, but offer people understandable and logical rules that will have an effect right now,” concluded Mr. Titov.
The QR code system started operating in the capital on June 28. They must be presented in cafes and restaurants, as well as at public events with the participation of more than 500 people. Only citizens who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 with the second component of the vaccine or a single-component vaccine registered in the Russian Federation, as well as those who have had coronavirus within six months or have a negative PCR test result (valid for 72 hours), can receive a QR code.
