The Pskov region shows the second result in grain harvesting in the North-West. This was announced by the Regional Agriculture Committee on Instagram.
According to the operational data of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of September 27, agricultural producers threshed grain in a bunker weight of 142.3 thousand tons with a yield of 33.3 c / ha. In addition, 25.4 thousand tons of rapeseed were harvested, which is 5.3 thousand tons higher than the level of 2020, the Pskov news feed reports.
In the production of grain and rapeseed, the Pskov region shows the second result in the North-West Federal District.
Sowing of winter grain crops continues on the territory of the region. Winter rapeseed was sown on 10.7 thousand hectares, which is 5.5 thousand hectares more than in 2020. According to the Pskov Information Agency, grain crops have been sown on an area of 25.8 thousand hectares.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia on September 20 announced a decrease in prices for buckwheat, while the FAS Russia does not see any signs of a shortage of buckwheat. However, some retailers report that suppliers are gouging prices. The Institute for Agricultural Market Studies is confident that in the coming weeks the market saturation with fresh buckwheat will increase and prices should stabilize. But other experts believe that prices may continue to rise.
