The indexation of old-age insurance pensions for non-working pensioners in 2022 will be 5.9%. This was announced on Wednesday, September 22, by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov.
The minister recalled that according to the law, the indexation of pensions for non-working pensioners is carried out at a level higher than the annual inflation.
“According to forecasts of the Ministry of Economic Development, annual inflation will be 5.8%. Taking this into account, the indexation planned in 2022 remains in the parameters of the three-year budget – at the level of 5.9%, “RIA Novosti quotes Kotyakov as saying.
According to him, the average annual pension in 2020 will be 18,521 rubles, in 2023 – 19,477 rubles, in 2024 – 20,469 rubles.
Insurance pensions are indexed annually on January 1. This year, the indexation was 6.3 percent, and the average pension – 16 789 rubles, concluded Kotyakov.
Deputy Director of the RUSSTRAT Institute Yuri Baranchik on Wednesday, September 22, told Izvestia that in Russia the upcoming indexation of old-age insurance pensions for non-working pensioners will affect over 36 million citizens of the country.
He added that about 6 million more citizens receive a social pension, which is 10.1 thousand rubles. In total, this year there are 43.2 million citizens in the country receiving pensions, and the annual increase in payments applies to all pensioners, Baranchik said.
On the eve, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that from 2022, in order to receive a pension, lump sum payments, as well as benefits, Russians will not need to write an application, all payments will be calculated automatically.
