The Ministry of Finance said it was not considering making changes to the system for calculating insurance premiums. Earlier, the media reported that the Ministry of Finance is studying the possibility of increasing insurance premiums on salaries over 122 thousand rubles. per month and an increase in property tax with a total value of more than 500 million rubles. The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) called the increase in insurance premiums a “disastrous initiative.”
“At the moment, changes in the system for calculating insurance premiums are not being considered,” the press service of the Ministry of Finance said (quoted by TASS).
The RUIE considers this proposal disastrous, especially in the face of increasing pressure in a difficult economic situation. “On the one hand, the state seeks to withdraw salaries from the“ gray zone, ”on the other hand, an active increase in the fiscal burden on those who“ pay white ”or, believing the state,“ whitewashed, ”forces those who have not yet done so, continue to hide the real amount of salaries, “- said the press service of the RBC union.
The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs notes that the existence of a salary threshold, after which the rate of insurance payments is reduced, is the result of “complicated agreements at the previous stage, which should not be revised.” The union recalled that insurance premiums are not taxes, so it is impossible to replenish the budget at their expense. The RSPP also believes that an increase in insurance premiums paid by an employer for employees, without an increase in payments to them, does not correspond to the basic principles of social insurance and the concept of social justice.
