The family of Philip Gross-Dneprov, one of the founders of Russia’s largest hosting provider and domain registrar REG.ru, sold a 40.3% stake for 1 billion rubles. According to the Kontur.Fokus system, as of July, 40.3% of Reg.ru LLC belongs to the co-founder of the company Alexei Korolyuk, 14.4% – to the second co-founder Valery Studennikov, another 40.3% is in the authorized capital.
Philip Gross-Dneprov died in 2020, since the beginning of 2021 his share (40.3%) has been divided among family members. Children of Mr. Gross-Dneprov Anastasia, Christina, Rihanna, David and his mother Olga received 8.06% each. According to a source vc.ru, the Gross family sold the stake for 1 billion rubles. REG.ru reported that the shares were acquired by the company, the details of the transaction were not disclosed.
At the same time, the publication notes that the 5% share of the main owner of the Softline IT holding Igor Borovikov has also disappeared, and Mr. Korolyuk’s share is pledged to Alfa-Bank.
Philip Gross-Dneprov, Alexey Korolyuk and Valery Studennikov founded REG.ru in 2006. According to the REG.ru website, the company serves over 3.3 million domains. Every second domain in Russia is registered at REG.ru. Customers can register domains in over 750 international and national domain zones.
