Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the allocation of 3.42 billion rubles. to stimulate regional production of soybeans and rapeseed. The measure was taken to support the industry in the face of export restrictions, which were introduced to reduce food prices.

The funds will be distributed among 40 regions, according to the government’s website. “The final recipients of the support will be enterprises and individual entrepreneurs who are engaged in the cultivation of oilseeds and their processing,” the message says.

Earlier, higher export duties were imposed on soybeans and rapeseed. On May 28, the government reduced them to 20% (but not less than $ 100 per ton). The decision will be valid until August 31, 2022 inclusive.
