The most useful porridge for health is buckwheat, said Russian doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov in trouble with Medicforum.
The specialist noted the beneficial effect of this product on the cardiovascular system due to the high content of potassium, sodium and magnesium. In addition, buckwheat porridge is rich in plant fibers, which provides its benefits for the digestive tract, Myasnikov said.
Rice porridge is also a healthy porridge, the doctor said. In this case, preference should be given to unmilled or red rice. Unprocessed rice grains contain protein and amino acids. Such a rich composition promotes the production of antibodies and the formation of muscle tissue, the specialist said.
Pearl barley, millet and oatmeal are no less useful. Eating these foods lowers the risk of fat and cholesterol accumulation in the body.
