Against the background of the spread of coronavirus, Sobyanin urged Muscovites to be careful, observe sanitary requirements and take care of themselves and their health on September 19 on the Russia-1 TV channel.
Earlier this day, it became known that the “mu” strain of the coronavirus has probably already entered the territory of Russia, but this variant of the virus is not included in the list of strains of the World Health Organization (WHO), which are of serious concern to the organization.
On September 18, infectious disease doctor Yevgeny Timakov allowed an increase in COVID-19 cases this fall in Russia. However, according to him, the indicators will still be lower compared to 2020 due to the immunity of Russians. He also noted that population immunity to coronavirus in Russia is formed naturally.
The day before, Rospotrebnadzor announced that there is a slowdown in the rate of decline in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia, an increase in new cases is recorded in 11 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
