The music streaming platform SberSvuk was the first Russian service to announce the ability to listen to music without losing quality. New features are available for iOS and Android mobile devices.
The catalog contains over 35 million uncompressed tracks, the company promises to add another 70 million songs by the end of 2021. Sberbank acquired the Sound music service in September 2020 and made its own SberSvuk platform out of it.
Earlier, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, SberSvuk launched its smart application for smart devices Sber, which allows you to find playlists using emoji that match the user’s mood, activity and location.
Amazon, Spotify and Apple have announced the introduction of lossless music.
Apple also said that its AirPods, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max wireless headphones do not support uncompressed music, but they do support “spatial audio” mode, which creates a more immersive audio experience.
