Roskomnadzor will respond to Google’s claims in court, the deputy head of the department said. As Kommersant found out, Google has filed a lawsuit against Roskomnadzor for the first time: the company is challenging the requirement to remove 12 links to “illegal content”.
When asked how Roskomnadzor would react to the filed suit, the deputy head of the department Vadim Subbotin replied: “Everything will be in court.” “These are our requirements, of course,” he added (quoted by RIA Novosti).
Roskomnadzor’s dissatisfaction was caused by links to videos on YouTube, which the regulator considered calls to participate in rallies in January 2021. Google first filed a lawsuit against the department, before he only acted as a defendant in the proceedings.
