Raiffeisenbank filed a claim against MTS for 615 million rubles

The Moscow Arbitration Court registered a claim by Raiffeisen Bank International AG, a subsidiary of the Austrian Raiffeisenbank, to recover about 615 million rubles from PJSC Mobile Telesystems. This is evidenced by the data posted in the file of arbitration cases.

The claim was submitted to the court on July 6, but it has not yet been accepted for consideration. The grounds for the claims have not been specified at the moment. The third party involved the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia.

In May 2019, the FAS found MTS, Beeline and Tele2 guilty of discrimination against private companies. As the service established, these cellular operators provided banks with state participation with more favorable terms of tariffs for mandatory SMS sending than private banks.
