Pfizer has not yet applied for registration of its vaccine in Russia

The American company Pfizer has not yet approached Russia about the possibility of registering its vaccine against coronavirus, Alexander Chepinoga, the company’s manager for external communications in the Russian Federation and Belarus, told TASS. Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said that several foreign manufacturers had applied for registration of their vaccines against coronavirus in Russia.

“Pfizer is still considering this matter,” Mr. Chepinoga said when asked for comment on the minister’s statement.

The vaccines Sputnik V and Sputnik Light of the Gamaleya Center, the drug EpiVacCorona of the Vector Center and KoviVak of the Chumakov Center have been registered in Russia. Another drug, EpiVacCorona-N, is undergoing clinical trials.
