Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree approving a new measure of state support for milk powder producers. According to the document, they will have access to compensation for part of the direct costs incurred for the creation or renewal of agricultural processing facilities. The decree was published on the government website.
“We are talking about reimbursement of up to 25% of the actual cost of a facility under construction or modernization. Previously, some farmers could already take advantage of this opportunity. Among them are those who are engaged in the processing of oilseeds or grains, ”the article explains.
The government expects that this measure will shorten the payback period of investment projects and expand production capacity.
In March, participants in the dairy industry proposed to resolve the issue of reducing import duties when importing Russian dairy products into the PRC. The National Union of Milk Producers asked the Ministry of Agriculture to agree with China on reducing import duties from the current 10-20%, as well as to provide compensation for 25% of the cost of producing milk powder, butter, whey and cheese.
