The social network Instagram is testing a feature that will allow users to post to their profiles via a personal computer. This was reported to Bloomberg by Facebook spokeswoman Christine Pye, who owns the social network.
“We know that many people access Instagram from their computers. To improve this process, we are testing the ability to create posts to the Instagram feed through a browser on a personal computer, ”- said a spokesman for Facebook.
According to experts interviewed by the agency, such a decision is part of a large-scale network development plan in an increasingly competitive environment.
Since June 23, Russian Instagram users have the opportunity to create and view short videos in a dedicated Reels tab, as well as add music to Stories and Facebook profile. Instagram launched the function of adding music to Stories back in 2018, but until now it was not available in Russia. Reels Instagram launched last summer, the service is designed to compete with the Chinese network TikTok.
