The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies creates more jobs than it cuts, said the head of Sberbank, German Gref. At the same time, he believes that people should be prepared to lose their jobs due to robotization and choose other professions.
“This is probably one of the biggest fears now associated with the development of technologies,” said Mr. Gref during the New Knowledge marathon (quoted by Interfax). He offered to inform people that this future will come. “Today, say, ten years before that, people need to announce this,” said the head of Sberbank.
“250 million drivers worldwide. And when they are fully adapted, the fifth generation of self-driving cars will be allowed – the cars will be driven by themselves, 250 million people will lose their jobs, ”German Gref gave an example.
AI creates more jobs than it cuts, he said. “But you are right that structurally these are different jobs. And it seems to me that routine work is not very interesting. A person deserves to be engaged in creative work, “- said the head of Sberbank. According to him, the state and large corporations should create conditions for the retraining of specialists.
At the end of 2020, scientists from the Russian University of Economics. Plekhanov came to the conclusion that humans will retain professional and creative advantages over AI for the coming decades. While AI, experts say, will dominate the analysis and collection of marketing information, as well as the processing of digital information, machines are also useful in scientific research and in software development.
