Gazprom will change its location from Moscow to St. Petersburg, the corresponding decision was approved by the company’s shareholders at the annual meeting. The phased relocation of Gazprom and its subsidiaries from the capital began more than ten years ago.
The annual meeting of Gazprom shareholders was held today, June 25, in the form of absentee voting, the press service of the company reports. “Amendments to the charter of the parent company have been approved, which, among other things, provide for the change of location of PJSC Gazprom to St. Petersburg,” said Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller following the meeting (quoted by Interfax).
The shareholders also approved the payment of dividends for 2020 at the rate of 12.55 rubles. per share, down 17.7% from the previous value. At the end of 2019, the company paid 15.24 rubles per share.
It was also decided in the charter that shareholders’ meetings of the company will be held at the place of its location. Previously, the charter allowed meetings to be held at the location (that is, in Moscow), as well as in St. Petersburg.
