The deal to sell a controlling stake in Akado to Er-Telecom is close to completion, a person familiar with the managers of several Russian operators told Izvestia.
The information was confirmed by a source associated with the managers of both parties to the transaction. According to him, the company of the former vice-president of Lukoil, Andrey Kuzyaev, may receive 56% of Akado’s shares. It is assumed that 19% of the company will go to the structures of the state corporation “Rostec”, 25% will remain with the entrepreneur Maxim Mayorets (now he owns 51% of Akado). At the same time, Viktor Vekselberg’s Renova (now owns 49% of Akado, until 2020 the company was its sole shareholder) may withdraw from the provider’s capital.
In the spring of this year, sources close to the deal said that, excluding Akado’s debt, it was estimated at 5 billion rubles. At the end of 2020, the provider’s net debt (according to its own data) was 11.5 billion rubles.
This is not the first time ER-Telecom Holding has tried to acquire Akado – in 2013 the company even received permission to purchase this asset from the Federal Antimonopoly Service, but then the deal did not take place.
