ATOR: prices for holidays in Crimea and Turkey are growing within 5-7% for two days

Prices for vacations in Crimea and Turkey are growing by about 5-7% in two days, said Maya Lomidze, executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), on the air of the Moscow Says radio station.

“We crept on the sly. While in the range of 5-7%. We are talking about the dynamics in two days, ”said Mrs. Lomidze. She also said that Russians are canceling vacation tours in the Krasnodar Territory due to new restrictions due to COVID-19 in the region. According to preliminary data, about 30% of bookings for July and more than 70% for August have already been canceled.

“The response was overwhelming, we honestly did not expect such a violent response from consumers, at least for bookings for July. But literally half an hour after the publication of the governor’s message, a flurry of calls with requests for cancellation began, ”said the executive director of ATOR.

On the eve of the regional authorities announced that from July 1, tourists arriving in the Krasnodar Territory will need to have a negative PCR test for coronavirus, obtained no earlier than three calendar days before settling, or a certificate of vaccination with the second component of the vaccine or a single-component vaccine. From August 1, it will be possible to move in only upon presentation of a vaccination certificate. In case of contraindications to vaccination, you will need to provide a certificate of medical withdrawal and a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus.
