The Central Bank will not increase the key rate at the upcoming meeting on February 10, Izvestia reports the opinions of analysts.

It is reported that the interest rate may remain at the level of 7.5% per annum. This indicator of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation leaves for several months from September 16 last year.

Igor Rapokhin, senior debt market strategist at SberCIB Investment Research, recalled that inflation in January was lower than in 2022, so, in his opinion, they will not raise the rate.

Mikhail Vasiliev, chief analyst at Sovcombank, is of the same opinion. However, he explains the potential decision of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the rate by the growth of pro-inflationary risks.

Meanwhile, according to a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation, consumer sentiment improved in January 2023, while inflation expectations decreased, INFOX reports.
