The total GST collection in April was Rs 1,41,384 crore, which is a new record. Of this, central GST is Rs 27,837 crore, state GST Rs 35,621 crore, inter-GST Rs 68,481 crore and cess Rs 9,445 crore. GST collection in March was Rs 123,902 crore, the highest ever. The GST collection in April has gone far beyond the old figures. Looking at the GST collection for the last six months, it was Rs 123,902 crore in March, Rs 113,143 crore in February, Rs 119,875 crore in January, Rs 115,174 crore in December, Rs 1049,636 crore in November and Rs 105,155 crore in October.
GST collection has been increasing for the last six months, with GST collection in April being 14% higher than in March. At the same time, the revenue from domestic transactions (including imports of services) this month is 21% higher than the previous month.
